Job Summary
We are hiring an Accountant – Cross Border (Australia & Pakistan) to manage financial records, payroll, and compliance for both our Pakistan operations and our Australian partner company. The role requires someone detail-oriented, confident with accounting software, and familiar with both local (Pakistan) and international (Australia) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping for local and international transactions.
- Record all invoices, receipts, salaries, and expenses in Google Sheets/QuickBooks.
- Reconcile bank accounts in Pakistan and Australia via transfers monthly.
- Handle Pakistan compliance:
- Salary tax (FBR Section 149).
- EOBI and PESSI contributions.
- PSEB export tax at 0.25%.
- Salary tax (FBR Section 149).
- Prepare documents for Australian compliance (GST, BAS, annual tax filing) and liaise with AU tax agent.
- Keep receipts, invoices, and ledgers audit-ready at all times.
Generate monthly reports and financial summaries for management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- 2–3 years of relevant accounting/bookkeeping experience.
- Must know accounting software (QuickBooks / Xero / or Google Sheets).
- Knowledge of Pakistani tax filing (withholding, EOBI, PESSI).
- Exposure to Australian GST/BAS or international bookkeeping.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
